Lawrie & Symington, Forfar held their Annual Christmas Show and Sale of Primestock, comprising
50 Prime Cattle, 16 Cows and 550 Prime Sheep & Cast Ewes.
The Show was kindly sponsored by Davidsons, W. Walker LLP, Agri-Lloyd, Power Washer Services, Carnegie Fuels & Autoecosse Mitsubishi.
PRIME CATTLE
The judge for the Prime Cattle was Mr. Scott Watson and his awards were as follows:-
CHAMPION of the Show was a 554 kg Limousin Heifer from D. Lumgair & Sons Ltd., Gask selling to 470p per kg (£2603.80) and purchased by Scott Bros., Dundee.
RESERVE CHAMPION of the show was a 586 kg Limousin Heifer from J.A. Peters & Sons, West Bog selling to 320p per kg (£1875.20) and purchased by Scott Bros., Dundee.
Best Animal Opposite Sex to the Champion was a 613 kg British Blue Bullock from D. Lumgair & Sons Ltd., Gask selling to 350p per kg (£2145.50) and purchased by Rennie Butchers, Forfar.
