Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward 413 Store Cattle.
Included in today’s sale was the Show and Sale of 22 Young Farmers Over Wintering Cattle.
We had a fantastic show of Young Farmers Cattle on offer today. All credit goes to them for the hard work and effort they put into them.
Aiden carried out his judging duties in a very professional manner, purchasing his overall champion from Andrew Adam (Forfar YF), Newhouse of Glamis, for his 558 kg lucious Limousin realising £2900.
The reserve champion and best opposite sex to champion was a bountiful British Blue scaling 534 kg and sold to £2500 consigned by Ruby Simpson (Strathmore YF), Mains of Creuchies and purchased by B. & S. Scott, Odmoston Farm.

Our spring show was in the capable hands of Mr. Gordon Carroll, Aucharroch. Gordon tapped out his Champion from R. Simpson & Son, Mains of Creuchies for a shapley Limousin Cross Heifer scaling 382 kg realising £2700/706.8p to the judge. The Reserve Champion was a fabulous Limousin cross Bullock scaling 438 kg topping at £1900 from Firm of D.R. Hood, Middlehill Farm, his other prize winners are as follows:-
