Bullocks (6) Sold to a top of 261p per kg and £1576.44 for a 604 kg Limousin, and second for a 597 kg both from Nethermyres and both purchased by the Firm of W.E. Fairlie Ltd., Letham to average 251p.
Heifers (17) Sold to a top of 268p per kg for a 538 kg Limousin from Gask and purchased by J.B. Penman, Crail and to £1464.66 for a 618 kg Limousin from West Bog and purchased by James Ewart Ltd., Carnoustie to average 239p.

NEW SEASON LAMB (842) sold to a top of 269p per kg and £116 per head for 4 outstanding 43kg Beltex lambs from Scobshaugh also to £116 from Broadshade. This top class run of lambs averaged 43 kg at 252p pr kg. Increased numbers sold to an increased trade. Today at Forfar Mart more could be sold to advantage. Best quality types a strong trade again along with lambs carrying a proper finish. Leaner lambs a bit behind the rest. Overall average 209p per kg. SQQ 208p per kg.
