Heifers (14) Sold to a top of 262p per kg for a 545 kg Limousin from the Gask and purchased by Rennie Butchers, Forfar and to £1627.50 for a 775 kg A.A. from Wolflaw and purchased by Rennie Butchers, Forfar to ave. 236p.

NEW SEASON LAMB (640) sold to a top of £119 per head for a pen of 50 kg Charollais from Newbigging of Ceres and to 260p per kg for 4 43kg Beltex’s from Clochie. Overall average and SQQ 218p (-7p on the week and plus 33p on the year). Increased numbers still selling to a strong trade especially considering the time of year. Quality and handyweight types still looking good. More grass fed lambs coming forward.
