Heifers (14) Sold to a top of 2.52p for a 527 kg Blonde D’Aquitaine from Chapel of Barras and purchased by W.F. Stark, Butchers, Buckhaven and to £1371.44 for a 553 kg Limousin from West Bog and purchased by Scott Bros., Dundee to average 233p.

NEW SEASON LAMB (577) sold to a top of 257p per kg for three 47 kg Texels from Templeton and to £128 for two 53 kg Texels from North Mains of Dun. Overall and SQQ Ave. 226p (-4p on the week) (plus 34p on the year). Increased numbers selling to a strong trade again here at Forfar. A lack of butchers quality lambs and heavier lambs today, lambs with finish in all classes still meeting a firm demand, more required every week.
