Lawrie & Symington, Forfar held their sale of  18  Prime Cattle,   3  OTM’s and  232  Prime Lambs, Ewes and Rams and Breeding Sheep.

 

PRIME CATTLE

 

Bullocks (4)  Sold to a top of 2.70p per kg twice, one for a 698 kg Limousin from the Gask and second for a 664 kg Limousin from Greenhead and to £1884.60 for the 698 kg Limousin from the Gask to average 2.61p per kg.

 

Heifers (18) Sold to a top of 2.86p per kg for a 596 kg Limousin from West Bog and to £1803.60 for a 668kg Blonde Aquitaine from Pityot to average 2.72p per kg.

Forfar had on offer 130 Prime Lambs at their Weekly Sale.  Top spot went to R Anderson, Newton of Guthire for a cracking 55kg Tex x Suf realising £168.

A pen of 3 41kg Tex x Lambs from Charlton Farm Services peaked at 368.3p per kg to average 332p and SQQ to average 337.6p
