Lawrie & Symington, Forfar had forward 18 Prime Cattle, 3 otm’s and 557 Prime Hoggs, Ewes and Rams.
PRIME CATTLE – Good show of cattle met a buoyant trade.
BULLOCKS – (2) – Sold to a top of 3.10p per kg for a 642 kg Charolais Cross from Wellhead and purchased by Mr. S. Watson and to £2094 for a 698 kg Limousin also from Wellhead and purchased by Chapman Butchers, Wishaw to average 3.05p per kg
HEIFERS – (16) – Sold to a top of 3.42p per kg for a 574 kg Limousin from West Bog and purchased by Penman Butchers, Crail and to £2097.92 for a 704 kg Charolais from Wellhead and purchased by Chapman Butchers, Wishaw to average 3.12p.

Topping today’s sale was a Beltex at £146 twice from the Firm of C.L. Wylie, Balbrydie and Texels at £145 from T. & J. Clarke, Wellhead. SQQ 2.58p. Overall average 2.54p.
