NEW SEASON LAMB (589) sold to a top of 240p per kg for a pen of 44 kg Texels from Newton of Fotheringham and to £118 per head for a pair of 50 kg Texels from South Powrie. Overall Average and SQQ 207p (-10p on the week)(plus 18p on the year).
Trade following the national trend of being easier but still a considerable improvement on the same time last year. Under finished lambs selling at a discount compaired to finished lambs with meat on them. Not as many pens of butchers quality lambs forward today.
