Lawrie & Symington, Forfar held their sale of 16  Prime Cattle, 5  OTM’s and  301  Prime Lambs, Ewes and Rams and Breeding Sheep.

 

PRIME CATTLE

 

Bullocks (3)  Sold to a top of 2.75p per kg for a 652 kg Simmental from Bonhard and to £1951.04 for a 728 kg A.A. from the Gask to average 2.71p.

 

Heifers (13) Sold to a top of 2.83p per kg for a 600 kg Limousin from West Bog and to £1807.68 for a 672 kg Limousin from Pityot to average 2.72p.

PRIME LAMBS (167) – Hitting the hot spot jointly today was F.H. Stewart, Wellbank Mains Farm with a cracking Texel scaling 46 kg and then K.A. Robertson, Over Baldinnie with his West Fife Show Reserve Champion pen of 3 Texels scaling 48 kg both realising £158.

Top price per kilo for lambs was 346.5p for a pen of 3 shapely Texel Cross scaling 43kg consigned by R. Anderson, Newton of Guthrie.
