30 calves were forward to the fortnightly sale, with a busy ringside of buyers. All classes met a good trade. Topping the sale was an excellent Shorthorn x bull from Cairnie Farm, which made £630.

Sheep prime stock report – 2528 Hoggs and 1084 Cast ewes sold
The sale topped at £135 per head for Texels from J Taylor, Skirling Craigs Farm, and to 300p/Kg for Beltex from Messrs Anderson, Old Walls Farm. Overall average 208p/Kg (SQQ 215p/Kg).
Hoggs Another fine show of 2528 saw well fleshed hoggs in all weight ranges maintain recent high rates although leaner hoggs easier on the week.
