Lawrie & Symington conducted the Annual Show and Sale of Border Leicester Sheep on behalf of the Border Leicester Sheep Society. At the show prior to the sale the judge Tom Nelson, High Kilphin awarded the championship to a Ram Lamb consigned by Jimmy Douglas, Clola Flock who was sired by Alticane Hitman and was later sold for £2,100 to F & R Farms, Piper Hole, Kirkby Stephen. The reserve overall was awarded to a Ewe Lamb from John Barrowman, Knockglass which was sold for £1,100 to A.L.Lyth, Mount Pleasant, Lealholm, Whitby. Top price was £2,700 from the Knockglass flock for a son of Didcot Duster with Tom Nelson, Kilphin buying him.
