3116 lambs and 2468 cast ewes were sold.
Lambs – A larger show of 3116 saw trade easier in all classes apart from the best quality lambs which were still sought after. Again to many lambs lacking flesh, would be better marketed in the Friday store sale. The sale topped at £88 per head for Texels from H & A Blackwood, Auldhouseburn, and to 195p/kg for Beltex from I Laird, Yeldabrek. Overall average 155p/kg (SQQ 157p/kg).
