L&S held their sale of 1,300 breeding sheep of all classes and 120 rams including the special sale of Bluefaced Leicester rams. Sheep met a fast selling trade and many more could have been sold to advantage, selling to a top of £132 was a pen of mule gimmers from G Gardner, Lupus, with Texel gimmers to £130 from Ingraston. Ewes topped at £100 for 1 crop Suffolks from Messrs Stevenson, Langshaw, with Blackface to £78 from Sweetshawhead and Blackface ewe lambs to £74 from Cronberry.

The annual show & sale of 58 Bluefaced Leicester rams and females were a mixed show for quality with only the best end easily cashed. The pre-sale show was ably judged by Mr Alan MacLarty who awarded the championship to a ram lamb from Messrs Fallows, Burnton, which realised £500 selling to the judge.
