Trade peaked at £370 on three occasions, for a British Blue heifer and a British Blue bull from TC Yuill, West Newton, followed by an Aberdeen Angus bull from Messrs Hamilton, Nether Pirn. More could be sold to sellers advantage.

Sheep prime stock report
2411 lambs and 2121 cast ewes were sold. Another good show of 2411 lambs saw all classes sharper on the week especially best kinds and good flesh. More could have been sold to advantage. The sale topped at £96 per head for Texels from Brodie, Easter Manuel and Struthers, Collielaw, and to 213p/kg for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw. Overall average 164p/kg (SQQ 166.5p/kg).
