Lawrie and Symington held its annual sale of 7200 of Blackface/Cheviot and other store lambs in conjunction with Livestock Marketing (borders) Ltd.
A large ring of buyers ensured all classes met a brisk selling trade throughout with the 1200 Texel & Suffolk lambs topping at £81 for Beltex from Ballantyne, East Cauldcoats.
The 904 Cheviot lambs topped at £73.50 from Mrs Straughan, Jersey Farm.
The 4957 Blackface Wedder lambs on offer average £59.92 which was a rise of £14.48 on the year.
