Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 2,663 Store Lambs and Breeding Sheep at their weekly sale. All an extreme demand and sold to a top price of £101 for Mule lambs from The Cottage. Top prices amongst the Blackface lambs was £79.50 for Easter Howgate, whilst Breeding Sheep sold to a top of £128 for Tex gimmers from Whitecraighead and to £86 for pen of 5yr old Blackface ewes from Kirkland (Sanquhar).
Also included in today's sale was the Final Special Sale of 1,185 Blackface wedder lambs in conjunction with Livestock Marketing (Borders) Ltd. A mixed weathered show sold at extreme rates.
