Lawrie and Symington Ltd conducted the 85th Scottish Area Sale of Pedigree Suffolk Sheep in Lanark where the sale was conducted with buyers bidding both in person and via the online system used in Lanark for the first time.

230 buyers were registered in the auction with a further 187 online.

Rams met a blistering trade from the off selling to a top of 50,000gns from Messrs McMenamin, Mullinvale and purchased by Mr Stuart Craft, Lakeview, with a further 10 lots selling at five figure prices.

164 Sheep sold was a 78% clearance rate on the 210 forward and resulted in an average of £3023.25.
