Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 495 Breeding and Store Sheep at their fortnightly sale, with 285 in in lamb Ewes with a full ringside of buyers which insured all classes sold to extreme rates. The sale topped at £170 x3 for Tex (2/3 crop ewes) and a pen of Suf ewes (all Scanned Twins) from Messrs. Strang & Co, Balcalk whose run of 250 ewes averaged £150.62

 

Store hoggs were the dearesr trade seen yet and many more could have been sold to advantage, topping at £127 for Texels from Messrs. Smith, Cairndinnis
