Lawrie and Symington Ltd held its weekly sale of 929 Ewes and Hoggs with Lambs at Foot. Trade was again brisk with plenty buyers in attendance. Many more hill type ewes forward today, with lambs in great bloom.
The sale topped at £138 (x2) both for pens of Texel hoggs with excellent Beltex Las at foot from Messrs Forrest, Hillend.
Ewes with Lambs topped at £127 for a Beltex with singles from Miss J Devine, Hillend.
Chev Ewes with Texel Las to £82 per head from Messrs K O’Connor, Woodside.
With Blackface with Mule Las to £65 per life from same home.
