Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold their last Friday sale of 963 Ewes and Hoggs with Lambs at foot today, with trade being buoyant throughout. Please note Ewes with Lambs at foot will now be sold on a Monday prior to Prime Sheep, commencing Monday 5th June.
Today’s sale topped at £138 for Geld Mule Hoggs from Messrs WJ Sloan & Co, Corsencon, Cumnock.
Hoggs with Lambs at foot to £118 for Mules with singles from Messrs T Laird & Son, Carbello, Cumnock.
Ewes with Lambs at foot to £108 per life 3 times from Messrs R & J Hamilton, Dillars, Lesmahagow, Messrs JR Gladstone & Sons, Fullarton, Penicuik, Messrs D Bell, West Cauldcoats, Strathaven.
Another ring full of Mule Ewes and strong Suffolk Lambs realized £100 per life also from Messrs JR Gladstone & Sons, Fullarton, Penicuik.
Hill Ewes topped at £78 for Cheviots with Cheviot Lambs from Messrs TJ Bark, Skirling Mains.
