Another excellent show of 2162 Store Lambs including almost 800 from the Shetland Isles saw a packed ring of 40 plus buyers all keen for sheep. Best end remained very dear with the larger keep lambs in bigger demand. Many more could be sold to vendors advantage to an ever increasing ring of local and distant buyers.
Sale topped at £80.50 for Suffolks from Gillfillan Bros, Kurkigarth, Shetland.
Texels topped at £78 from Keith, Heatherknowe, Shetland.
Mules sold to £65.50 from Bertram, Nisbet with BF to £51 from Graham, Kirkton Pentland and Mitchelslacks.
