Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4,154 Lambs and 2,234 Cast Ewes, Rams and Hoggs through Lanark.
Lambs
Another large show of 4,154 prime lambs were forward. Best quality lambs and export lambs remained dear. The commoner 44-48kg lambs a little easier. Heavies still good money.
The sale topped at £158 per head for Suffolks from Mr I Laird, Yeldabreck and to 352p/kg for Beltexs from Messrs R Bell & Partners, Craigow.
