A smaller show of 54 calves were forward to another busy ringside of buyers where trade peaked at £425 on two occasions. Firstly for a Simmental bull from Messrs Brisbane, Gartclush, and then for a Limousin bull from Messrs Taylor, Heatheryhall. More could have been sold to advantage.

An excellent show of lambs for both numbers and quality saw trade remain strong in all classes with the best quality receiving a premium.
The sale topped at £120 per head for Texels from Rennie, West Torphin and to 266p/kg for Beltex from Smith, Cloverhill.
