At their annual sale of Blackface Ewe Lambs, Lawrie & Symington had forward 4942 lambs. With a large attendance of buyers forward, a strong trade prevailed throughout. Top price was £820 for a pen of 5 consigned by R J Coulson & Son, High Staward, which were purchased by Mr Mark Harrison, Northern Ireland, this was followed at £580 for a pen of 6 from David Morrison, Dalwyne, purchased by Kevin McAleer, Northern Ireland. The 4942 lambs sold levelled at £85.72, a rise of £4.91 on the year.
