L & S had forward 1470 Cast & Feeding Ewes along with 2031 Store Lambs. All classes met an animated trade with best quality in both sections keenly saught after.

Store lambs sold to a top of £74, for Cheviot Mules from Messrs Clarkson, Woodlands Farm, followed closely at £73 for Texels from Messrs Semple, Barmulloch Farm, Campbeltown, whose run of 440 lambs averaged £60.60, and who had enjoyed selling with Lawrie & Symington for his 50th year in succession.

Cast and Feeding Ewes were again in demand with strong heavy ewes short in supply. Feeding types also easily cashed. Sale topped at £134 for Texels from Hillfield.
