The opening sale of 2000 Store Lambs and 1500 Cast & Feeding Ewes saw a large entry meet a fast selling trade, especially for big heavy ewes with plainer sorts slightly easier.
The best quality store lambs met a strong trade and were short of buyer requirements, whilst longer keep lambs remained similar on the year.
The sale topped at £67 for Beltex lambs from Miss J Devine, Hillend Farm.
