Lawrie & Symington Ltd had forward 450 Cast Ewes and 600 Store Lambs at their weekly sale on Friday 7th December. The best ewes remained dear, to a top of £132 for Texels from JW Frame, Little Gala, and to £126 (2x) for Texels from I Laird, Yeldabrek. Fat ewes proving harder to sell, although Blackface Ewes enjoying a lift in trade.

The 600 Store Lambs also met an animated trade, to a top of £69 for Texels from Messrs Orr, Dykehead Farm. All classes remain dear and keenly sought after.
