Another large show of 1968 Store Lambs saw a busy ringside of buyers with trade being the dearest of the season so far, Selling to a top of £72 for Texels from Messrs Anderson, Noblehall Farm. Blackface lambs topped at £54 from Kirkland, Sanquhar.

A similar show of 1585 Cast Ewes and Rams saw best quality Texel type ewes very dear and in demand with numbers short of requirements. Blackface ewes harder to cash. Sale topped at £140 for Texels from Westfield and Hillside. Blackface Ewes sold to £52 from Burnside.
