Lawrie and Symington Ltd held its weekly sale of 6066 Store and Breeding Sheep, where demand was strong in all classes and trade brisk throughout, the 4158 Store Lambs saw the best end dearer as the fat trade rises, selling to a top of £117 for Texel from Messrs Hamilton, Dillars and BF to £80 from Messrs Welsh, Snar & Messrs Steele, Walston Mill.

The 2144 Breeding Sheep were also in demand and included the dispersal of BF Stock Ewes from Coshogle and the reduction of Blackface Ewes from Jemima Elliot, Broughton Place. Sale topped at £172 for Mule Gimmers from Thornborrow, Easter Dawyk and Ewes to £170 for Suffolk x 3/4 Crops from The Longlands.
