Lawrie and Symington Ltd in conjunction with the Livestock Marketing (Borders) Ltd sold 4878 Blackface Wedder Lambs at the principal Show and Sale. Lambs were shown in great bloom to a packed ringside to average £70.18 (A rise of £7.02 on the year).

Out with the Show and Sale of Blackface we also held the Annual Show and Sale of 475 Cheviot Lambs and the Tom Clark Prepetual Trophy was won by Mr Norman Straughan, Jersy Farm (Waterloo Drive, Lanark) for an outstanding pen of North County Cheviot Lambs which went on to realize £100.
South Country Cheviots sold to £89 from Queensberry Farms, Chamlochfoot.
Amongst the other breed stores 1302 head sold to a top of £98 for Texels from Messrs Smith, Carmacoup.
