Lawrie and Symington Ltd held the Inaugural Show and Sale of 81 Dutch Spotted Sheep Society.

As is the normal, the best quality sheep in all classes were easily sold and short of requirements, the second rate sheep proved harder to cash.

The show was ably judged by Mr Jamie Gibson, Heatherpark Flock who awarded the Championship to an aged Ewe from Messrs Campbell, Strawfrank which went on to realise 1,000 gns to the judge.

The reserve champion made the top price of 1,700 gns for a Gimmer from Mr J Bell & R Bucklees, Polka-Dot Flock and sold to A Smyth, Victoria Road, Penrith.
