The second store lamb sale at Lanark saw 1844 head forward including 650 Blackface Lambs. Lambs were of varying sizes with strong lambs every bit as dear. Middle of the road lambs similar and more men looking for the larger keep small lambs.Included today was the show for Mule Wedder Lambs judged by Mr R Lawson, Eastmains who awarded the Champion pen to regular consignors Messrs Stewart of Crookboat, they went on to realize £97 selling to the judge, 2nd & 3rd went to new consignor of stores Messrs Kirkpatrick, Barr realizing £89 & £86 respectively.Outwith the Show & Sale topped at £100 for Texel from Messrs Hyslop, Blackburn with Blackface to £66 for mids from Queensberry Farms, Glenmanna.Average £64.54
