Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their weekly sale of 2530 Store Lambs including 130 Breeding Ewes. Trade remained very brisk in all classes and more could easily be sold to fill buyer demand. Included today, was the show and sale for Scotch Mule Wedder Lambs which was ably judged by Mr J Whiteford, Belstane who awarded the first prize to The Firm of Shawhead which went on to realise the sales top price of £98 and purchased by Mr R Lawson, Eastmains. 2nd Prize to Stewart Crookboat £87.50 also to Mr Lawson. 3rd Prize Stewart Crookboat £85.00 also to Mr Lawson.
Outwith the show trade peaked at £99 for Texels from Black Broomlands. The first of the BF Wedders saw lambs peak at £69 from Queensbury Farms, Glenmanna.
