Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 298 Store Cattle at their opening sale of 2022.
Bullocks topped at £1300 for a 600kg Aberdeen Angus from Bowridge, or to 259.6p for a 416kg Limousin from Drumalbin to average 215p.
Heifers peaked at £1350 for a 584kg Charolais from Haswellsykes, or to 263.3p for a 490kg Charolais from Blackhill, to level at 209.73p/kg.
Dairy bullocks sold to a top of £830 for a 516kg Holstein from Kilburn, or to 193.2p for a pen of seven Friesians from Haggmuir to average 173p.
0-350kg: £700 Nether Culzean ; 213.4p Nether Culzean
351-400kg: £940 Drumalbin ; 250p Hillridge
401-450kg: £1130 Calton ; 259.6p Drumalbin
451-500kg: £1135 Hillridge ; 248.9p Drumalbin
