Lawrie and Symington Ltd, Lanark held the Annual Sale of 106 Border Leicester Sheep with a good attendance of buyers, a good trade prevailed throughout the sale.

The sale was topped at £2000 on three occasions, the first was from the Knockglass flock of John Barrowman.  A son of Drennans Class Act he was purchased by Alex and Sandy Watson for their Intock flock.  The second lamb to make the £2000 figure was another from the Knockglass flock, this was purchased by Summerfield Holsteins, Whitmore.  The final lamb to realise £2000 was from Duncan Whytes, Mearns flock with Pete Brown, Bonniebraes and Tom Tennant securing this son of Muirmouth Morelos.

The female section saw 100% clearance with many buyers going home empty handed.  Messrs Howie, Lyham sold the top two prices of £1600 and £1200 with F & R Farms, Ravenstoredale purchasing them both.
