On Monday the 24th April 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 114 cattle comprising 41 bullocks and heifers, 73 cast cows and 32 calves and stirks.

Beef heifers sold to a top of £350 for a Hereford from Messrs Adamson, Swaits Farm, Lanark. Dairy Bullocks sold to a top of £500 for a Holstein stirk from Messrs Robertson, Ballycurrie Farm, Rosyth. Sheep prime stock report

On Monday 24th April 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2463 Hoggs and 725 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.

A smaller show of 2463 prime hoggs were a 2-tier trade with best fleshed hoggs ralising a premium and short of buyer requirements. Leaner, plainer hoggs slightly easier.

The sale topped at £178 per head for Texels from Messrs Gibson, Cowgrove and to 375p/kg for Beltex from Messrs Clark, Wellheads

Overall average 287p/kg (SQQ 294 p/kg)

A smaller show of 725 cast ewes and rams saw trade still strong for a mixed show on offer. Sale topped at £266 for Texels from Messrs Pate, Toxside and to £107 for Blackfaced from Drife, Netherhill

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
