On Monday 26th June 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward  74 cattle comprising of 44 bullocks and heifers, 30 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to 346p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to J Cairns Butchers, Law or to £2121 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark.

Limousin bullocks sold to 310p/pk from Greentower Farms, Lanark to W Stark, Twechar or to £2211 from Messrs Taylor, South Arnloss Farm, Slamanan to N Bark, Skirling.

Beef cows sold to £1970 per head from Penicuik Est or to 247p/pk from Messrs Hamilton, Bickertonhall Farm, Whitburn.

Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 691 Lambs, 544 Hoggs and 577 Cast Ewes and Hoggs through Lanark.

Lambs

A larger show of 691 lambs saw trade slightly sharper on week.  Heavy lambs 45kg + and best quality tyres met record high rates.  More needed each week.

The sale topped at £185 per head for Texels from Messrs Blackwood, Auldhouseburn and to 425kg for Beltex from Messrs Padkin, Muirhouse.

A smaller show of 577 cast ewes met a decent trade as they topped up for festival.  The hardest to sell was still thick fat ewes.  More could have been mopped up today.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
