On Monday the 4/09/23 Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 83 cattle comprising of 39 bullocks and heifers, 44 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to 346p/pk from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Cairns Butchers, Law or to £2171 from Messrs Dickinson, Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Collins Butchers, Muirhead.

Limousin bullocks sold to 318p/pk from Messrs Cunningham, Walkerdyke Farm, Strathaven to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw or to £1940 from the same home.

Beef cows sold to £1790 per head from Messrs Forrest, Hillend Farm, Roberton or to 225p/pk from Messrs Warnock, Dreva Farm, Broughton.

Dairy cows sold to £1030 per head from Greentowers Farm, Lanark or to 183p/pk from Auchmeddan Farm, Lesmahagow.

On Monday 4th September 2023 Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 3693 Lambs and 2215 Cast Ewes and Rams through Lanark.

Lambs

A larger show of 3693 prime lambs again saw trade a bit firmer than at end of pervious week. A good show of lambs on offer with heaviest coming to most money.

The sale topped at £159 per head for Texels from messrs Struthers, Collielaw Farm, Carluke and to 304 p/pk for Texels from the same home.

A larger show of 2215 cast ewes and rams saw a good show for quality and trade certainly deerer on the week. Many more could be sold to advantage.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
