On Tuesday 19th March 2024 Lawrie and Symington sold 841 store cattle at their fortnightly sale. Quality types still in demand, plainer types harder to cash.

Bullocks sold to a top of £1860 for a 622kg Limousin x from Messrs A Frame, Haininghead Farm, Carluke or to 375.7p for a 338kg Limousin x from Messrs J & J Bannatyne, Drumalbin Farm, Biggar to level at 290.14p.

Heifers peaked at £1940 for a 692kg Limousin x heifer from Messrs A Frame Home Farm, Glenbuck, or to 377.7p for a pen of eight 278kg Limousin x from Messrs J & J Bannatyne, Drumalbin Farm, Biggar to average 280.2p.

Dairy bullocks sold to £1520 for a pair of 660kg British Friesians from Messrs JB Taylor, Blackburn Mains Farm, Bathgate or to 265.3p for a pair of 505kg Montbeliardes from Messrs D & M Russell, Cobblehaugh Farm, Lanark to level at 214.5p.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
