Lawrie and Symington LTD held their weekly sale of 2977 store lambs of all classes (including 887 Blackface lambs). Incorporated today was the annual show and sale for Scotch Mule wedder lambs, judged by Mr J Linton, Sornfallow Farm who awarded first prize to Messrs Stewart, Crookboat Farm, realising £113 to the judge. 2nd place was to Messrs Kirkpatrick, Barr Farm, £112 to the judge and 3rd to Kingsbeck LTD, Culter Allers Farm, £104 also to the judge.
The sale topped £125 for a pen of outstanding Texel x lamb from Balckburn Farm.
NCC lambs to £112 from Yeldabrek, Orkney and the first Blackface lambs of the season to £83 from Glenmanna Farm.
