Show & Sale of Border Leicester Sheep

Lawrie and Symington conducted the Annual Show & Sale of Border Leicester sheep, where they sold 120 heads.

The sale was topped at £3200 for a Ram lamb from Tom Tennant, West Forth Flock, a son of Alticane Churchill who had earlier achieved Reserve Male Champion. He was purchased by Messrs P & D Playfair, Stichhill Farm, Kelso. This was followed at £3000 (twice) for a son of Drennans Jet from Mary Laidlaw, Drennan Flock, purchased jointly by David Walker, Alticane and Jack Lamb, Ingleston.

The next lamb to be sold for £3000 was consigned from the Kilphin Flock of Tom Nelson, purchased by Alex Watson for his Intock Flock.

The female section continued to be a great trade with buyers from all over the UK looking to purchase stock. The sale was topped at £1300 for the Female Champion from David Walker, Alticane flock which was purchased by Messrs G & N Pamplin, Ringstead, Northants.

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
