Sheep Report
Hoggets – Another grand show of hoggs were forward despite the inclement weather saw all classes remain dear and short of buyer requirements, many more could be sold to advantage at extreme rates. The sale topped at £137 per head for Texels from Struthers Collielaw and 311p per kg for Texels from same home.
Overall average 234p per kg, SQQ 236p per kg.
Ewe numbers remain strong with 1145 head forward selling at extreme rates. Heavy Ewes a fair bit dearer with Blackface Ewes realizing a fast trade. Sale topped at £187 for Texels from Clark, North Garngour and Blackface to £78 from Howford and Hamildean.
