Limousin heifers sold to 495p/pk from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Cairns Butchers, Law or to £2904 per head from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to Black Butchers, Lanark.

Limousin bullocks sold to 455p/pk from Fauldingcleugh Farm, Lockerbie to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw or £2988 per head from Brownsbank Farm, Biggar to Chapman Butchers, Wishaw.

Beef cows sold to £2540 per head from Nether Abington Farm, Abington or to 344p/pk from Nether Abington Farm, Abington.

Sheep Primestock Report

Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2575 Hoggs, 411 Cast Ewes and 197 Store Sheep through Lanark.

A smaller show of 2575 prime hoggs were a mixed show for quality with a lot more heavy hoggs on offer.  Trade was very steady in all classes with a premium only being realized for export weight hoggs which were well fleshed.  Heavy’s still very hard to shift.

The sale topped at £170 per head for Texel from Cameron, Crow Wood Cottage and Parkin, Higher Daviesdykes and to 384p/kg for Beltex from Baillie, Broomfield.

Motherless Lambs

130 lambs were sold at our Easter Monday Motherless Lamb Sale. Distances were covered with lambs from Perth and Eyemouth present. Top price was achieved by 6 strong Texel x lambs from Ingraston, reaching £42 per head. The overall average: £21.50

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
