On Monday 28th July Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 182 cattle comprising of 50 bullocks and heifers, 85 cast cows and 47 calves.

Limousin heifers sold to £2709 form Brockwoodlees Farm to Collins Butchers or to 450p/kg from the same Brockwoodlees Farm to Collins Butchers.

Limousin bullocks sold to £2644 form Brownsbank Farm to Lawson, Whiteburn or to 405p/kg from Hill Farm (Strathaven) to Cooper Butchers.

Beef cow sold to £2310 per head from Laigh Braidly Farm or to 366p/pk from Walston Mill Farm.

Dairy cows sold to £2040 per head from Kilkivan Farm or to 260p/pk from Muirhouse Farm.

Young bulls sold to £2650 per head from East Merklands Farm or to 350p/pk from the same home.

On Monday Lawrie and Symington Ltd held their fortnightly calf and stirk sale with a strong show of 47 calves. Topping the sale was a 3 month old Aberdeen Angus cross bull calf from Struthers, Auchmeddan reaching £930.

On Milk Calves topped at £810 for a one month old Charolais cross bull calf from Taylor, Heatheryhall.

On Monday 28th July Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 1890 Lambs and 1485 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

A much larger show of 1890 prime lambs were forward with trade slightly easier on the week with more numbers forward all over. Some lambs coming forward lean enough and would be better sold as store. Best fleshed lambs commanded a premium.

The sale topped at £194 per head for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw Farm and to 412p/kg for Texels from the same home.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
