Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 90 cattle comprising of 38 bullocks and heifers and 52 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to £2692 from Brockwoodlees Farm to Black Butchers or to 455p/pk from the same home to Cairns Butchers.

Simental bullocks sold to £2709 from Brownsbank Farm to Chapmans Butchers or to 410p/pk from Muirburn Farm to MJ Stark, Paisley.

Beef cows sold to £2590 per head from Threestanes Farm or to 319p/pk from Gair Farm.

Dairy cows sold to £2590 per head from Dewshill Farm or to 265p/pk from the same home.

Cast bulls sold to £260 per head from Shawhead Farm or to 260p/pk from Nether Balgray Farm.

On Monday 4th August Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 1792 Lambs and 1362 Cast Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

The 1792 prime lambs were a much better show for quality, weight and especially flesh. Much better drawn on the week and was shown in the trade. Remember leaner, plain lambs are worth more in the store ring each Friday.

The sale topped at £206 per head for Texels from Taylor, Heatheryhall Farm and to 420p/kg from the same vendor.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
