SHOW & SALE OF TEXEL SHEEP

(On behalf of Scottish Texel Sheep Breeders Club)

 

Topping this year sale was Garngour Idol at 4,000gns from Messrs J & H Clark. A son of Overburns Hector and out of an Allanfauld Flaming Star daughter. He sold jointly to Messrs Duthie, Caterthun; Messrs McKerrow, Uppermill; and Messrs Jarvie, Duncryne after standing 3rd Prize in the Open Ram Lamb Class at the Pre-Sale Show.

 

Second top in the club sale at 2,000gns, Eastfield Instigator from Messrs J & J Dunlop, Elsrickle. Winning 2nd Prize in the Natural Born Ram Lamb Class in the Pre-Sale Show, James’s leading lamb and by Duncryne Gee Whizz and out of a Cambwell Duke II daughter. He now joins the Toftcombs flock with Messrs Gibb.

 

Then at 1,900gns was the substitute entry of Garngour I Catcher also from Messrs J & H Clark. A Duncryne Houdini son, and out of a Claybury Dunkirk sired homebred daughter. He now joins the Luneham flock with AJ & LJ Haston, Maryport.

 

Topping the Shearling trade at 1,800gns was Boghouse Hard Ass from Messrs RM Johnstone, Crawfordjohn, he was 2nd in the Pre-Sale Show. He is by Midlock G-Force and out of a Fordafourie Dynamite homebred daughter. He now heads to Bankhead of Tinwald, Lochmaben with Messrs Nelson.

 

Leading the Langside Production Sale of Gimmers from Messrs A Gray & Son at 3,800gns, was their GAL2403383 – a embryo daughter out of the 17,000gns Ettrick Everest and out of GAL1601553 sired by Lamb Bros Unbeatable. She now joins Messrs Gray of the Ettrick flock

 

And topping the Final Dispersal of the Rusha flock on behalf of Messrs JW Gibb & Son was their second catalogue entry at 2,200gns, GJR2402889. A gimmer sired by the loaned sire of Midcombe Firefly from Messrs Gray, Scrogtonhead. She is out of a homebred dam sired by Vallum Admiral. She joins the Toftcombs flock with Messrs JW Gibb, Biggar.

PLEASE NOTE:
There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
