Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 120 cattle comprising of 40 bullocks and heifers and 80 cast cows.

Limousin heifers sold to £3064 from Brockwoodlees Farm, Canonbie to H Black Butchers, Lanark or to 450p/pk from Fauldingcleugh Farm, Lockerbie.

Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold to £3003 from Couplaw Farm, Stonehouse to N Bark, Skirling or to 398p/pk from Mid Shawtonhill Farm, Chapelton to Cooper Butchers, Bellshill.

Beef cows sold to £2270 per head from Corsebank Farm, Sanquhar or to 316p/pk from Westtown Farm, Stonehouse.

Sheep Primestock Report

On Monday 22nd September Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 4630 Lambs and 2504 Ewes through Lanark.

Lambs

The largest show for sometime of 4630 prime lambs saw trade similar. A lot more weight on offer today, still realizing good pounds per head. Best export types dearer and easily sold. Light weight lambs short of buyers requirements.

The sale topped at £190 per head for Suffolks from Hodge, Dykes Farm and to 381p/kg for Beltex from Dun, Jeanfield Farm.

The 2504 cast ewes and rams were yet another fine trade as our busy ring of buyers remain keep for sheep. The plainest, leanest end a little less but the best ewes remain dear.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
