Lawrie and Symington Ltd sold 2148 hoggets and 871 Cast Ewes through Lanark. The Sale topped at £107 per head for Texels from Struthers, Collielaw and to 260p per kg for Beltex from Clark Wellhead. Overall average 197p per kg, SQQ 202p per kg. A good show of 2148 Prime Hoggs were forward to the usual full ring of Buyers with all classes remaining dear and keenly sought after, especially export and lightweight hogs. Best quality realising extreme rates.
