Lawrie and Symington Ltd had forward 150 cattle comprising of 38 bullocks and heifers, 62 cast cows and 50 calves and stirks.

Calves and Stirks

Fifty exceptional calves were forward for today’s sale. Trade topped on three separate occasions at £1080, achieved by Messrs Pirie, Machrihanish Farm, for two Inra heifers and a British Blue heifer calf.

The on milk calves topped at £740 for a Hereford bull calf from Messrs Adamson, Swaites Farm.

Lambs

Fewer lambs forward and increasing demand. Many more needed each week to fulfill buyer demand. They do not need to be overly heavy to realise a good price.

The sale topped at £230 per head for Suffolk cross from Smellie, Kailzie Mains Farm and to 476p/kg for Texels from Gray, Chapelhill Farm.

There will be NO sundry section within the sale and we reserve the right not to accept entries which we feel are unfit for the sale.

COMMISSION RATES
• Commission will be charged on all lots at 10% on FIRST £200 of any lot and 5% thereafter (e.g., Sold at £350 = £20+£7.50=£27.50), capped at £350 per lot. Minimum £5 per lot. • All purchases will be subject to a 3% plus VAT buyer's premium on all lots capped at £350 per item sold by auction or by private treaty.

ENTRY FEES
Tractors, Gators, Quads and Vehicle (To be sold online) £10 + VAT per lot DELIVERY OF ITEMS TO SALE YARD All Farm Machinery and Implements must be delivered to our saleyard by 3 pm on the day before the sale with the exception of Tractors, Vehicles and Quad which may arrive no later than 10.00am on the Thursday. Due to ongoing Health and Safety issues, there will be NO unloading facility available on Sale Day with loading permitted only after the conclusion of the sale.

ONLINE FACILITY
Tractor, Telehandlers, Gators, Quads and Vehicles will also be offered for sale through our online facility alongside the live sale via a drive through, any machine which cannot be driven through will be sold in the line with no online facility.

All items are sold as seen and will be conducted under the Lawrie & Symington and IAAS General Conditions of Sale which are available for inspection at our office.
