Lawrie & Symington Ltd announces the retirement of its Chairman, Gordon Renwick, following 16 years of service on the Board of Directors, including the last eight years as Chairman.
During his time on the Board, Gordon has played an integral role supporting the continued success and development of the business, culminating in a record trading profit of £1.1m last year. The Board of Directors would like to thank him for his leadership, commitment and valued contribution over the past 16 years and wish him every happiness and good health in his retirement.
The company is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Steel as the new Chairman of Lawrie & Symington Ltd. A longstanding member of the Board, Andrew brings considerable experience, knowledge and guidance to the role as the company looks to the future.
Lawrie & Symington Ltd also welcomes Finlay Smith, Cloverhill and Robert Taylor, Nether Glinns Farm as new non-executive Board Directors. Both have extensive knowledge within agriculture and farming, are well known within the sector and will provide commercial insight to the business going forward. Their addition further strengthens and reinforces the company’s continued commitment to Scotland’s agricultural industry.
